- To create a discussion board, drop down the âCourse Toolsâ menu from your course sidebar and select âDiscussion Board.â
- On the âDiscussion Boardâ page, you will see your main course discussion board, and, if you have groups in your course, group discussion boards. Choose where you want to create a discussion board.
- From the toolbar, select âCreate Forumâ.
- Forums are the topics for a particular discussion board. On this âCreate Forumâ page, consider using a general forum name, like âYuJa Response Discussion Boards,â or âModule 2 Video Responses,â if you want to have multiple discussions for module 2. Click submit to create the forum.
- Youâve created a forum! Select the forum you just created.
- From the toolbar, select âCreate Threadâ.
- Enter the information you want to use as the discussion board prompt. Unlike the forum name and description you created in steps prior, be specific on this page. This information is what your students will be responding to!
- When youâre ready to post the discussion board, select âSubmitâ.
In addition to a name and description, you can set forum availability and settings from this screen too. Remember, these settings will effect all discussion boards you create inside the forum.
If you want to add a YuJa video to your post, select the â+â icon from the bottom row of tools in the editor.
Scroll down to the bottom of the window, and select âYuJa - Graded itemâ.
Note: this item does not need to be graded
The YuJa media chooser window will open. From the media chooser, you can choose to upload media already on YuJa, you can upload media to YuJa, or you can create a new recording.
