How do I get 24x7x365 help and support in Canvas?
Faculty and staff can connect with Canvas Support through chat or phone, 24/7/365, via the Help button on the Canvas global navigation bar.
QILT also writes and publishes various help articles which can be found in the Documentation & Guides section of our Canvas page.

Faculty and Staff Help Menu
The Help menu includes the options shown below: the support phone number, the “Chat with Canvas Support” link, a link to submit a Canvas support ticket, and a link to the Training Services Portal. Learn more about the training services portal →
Support resources for tools connected to Canvas can be found toward the bottom of the Help menu and are frequently updated to reflect the most common questions from our community.
Help in the Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template
The Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template has links to a Canvas Resources for Instructors page in the “Instructor Module (Do Not Publish)” module. Many department and program course templates also include this module.

How do I access training for Canvas?
You will receive training on Canvas as you work with your learning designer, after your course, program, department, or school opts-in to use Canvas and we begin the process with you. You will become familiar with many aspects of Canvas as you build your courses and teach them!
On-Demand Training
On-demand training can be found:
- in the Training Services Portal under “Courses & Webinars”
- on this page, which contains recordings from our May 2025 Canvas consultant on-site sessions *not all session recordings are posted at this time - as they are ready, they will be added.
Live Training
Live training sessions can be found:
- in the Training Services Portal under “Live Training Calendar”
- on the QILT LibCal calendar, sessions are posted there as they are scheduled
