Dear Faculty,
As we wind down Summer, we are pleased to share the latest update on our migration to Canvas as Quinnipiac's new learning management system (LMS).
Fall 2025 Courses
This fall marks a major milestone: Over 45% of courses, 7,150+ unique students, and 450+ unique faculty members will use Canvas!
Course of record shells for Fall 2025 courses have been created in Canvas and Blackboard.
- Not sure which LMS your course is using? Check both platforms.
- In Canvas, the course of record shell(s) will appear on your Dashboard under Unpublished Courses.
- Need instructions on how to copy from your Canvas sandbox to a course of record shell? See: Copying a Canvas Course for a New Semester
- In Blackboard, the course of record shell(s) will be on the Courses page under 25FA.
Note that during this migration, you may be teaching courses in both platforms.
Our learning design team is actively working one-on-one with faculty to support their course migration to Canvas. If you have not yet connected with a learning designer, please check your e-mail for a message or reply here, and we’ll connect you.
If you have questions about your courses, please contact your chair, department leadership, or school administration.
Spring 2026 Courses
Program chairs, department leaders, and deans will soon receive information related to Spring 2026 courses and Canvas.
Missed the May On-Site Canvas Sessions?
If you weren’t able to attend our May 2025 on-site sessions with our Canvas consultant, you can watch the recordings here. The videos are short and easy to watch, covering everything from an introduction to Canvas to creating assignments and quizzes, grading, using student group features, and more.
Help and Training
Our Canvas Help and Training page outlines the support resources available to you, including 24/7/365 phone and chat assistance. If your students need help with Canvas, resources for them (including 24/7/365 phone and chat assistance) are available here. You may also share the link to this video with your students to help them get acclimated to navigating Canvas.
As previously communicated, all courses in Fall 2026 and beyond will run in Canvas. The Canvas page on our website has all the latest information and resources you need. Thank you for your partnership as we continue this migration.
