How do I get help in Canvas?
Students can connect with Canvas Support through chat or phone, 24/7/365, via the Help button on the Canvas global navigation bar.
Student Help Menu
The Help menu has the options shown below, including the support phone number at the top and the “Chat with Canvas Support” link under “Other Resources.”
Student technical support issues should be resolved by the IT Help Desk, either through their expertise or by utilizing the platform’s support resources.
- Canvas: To get help with Canvas, select the "Help" button located at the bottom of the dark blue Global Navigation bar. There, you can access the 24/7 phone, chat, or e-mail support options.
- E-mail: View e-mail support resources
- Microsoft Office 365: View Microsoft Office 365 support resources
- YuJa (video platform): View YuJa support resources or contact YuJa support
- Zoom (video conferencing): View Zoom support resources or contact QU IT
- VoiceThread: View VoiceThread support resources or contact VoiceThread support

Help in the Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template
If your instructor uses the Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template, there is a Canvas Resources for Students page in the “Getting Started” module. If you don’t see the page, ask your instructor if they can provide it to you.
There are also callouts in assignments, discussions, and quizzes that have a link to find help.
