What is Office 365?
Office 365 (sometimes called Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365) is a suite of productivity tools and applications developed by Microsoft. At Quinnipiac, Office 365 is accessible by students, faculty, and staff and is managed by IT. Our team supports using the apps in the suite in teaching and learning environments.

Common apps
OneDrive
OneDrive is a cloud storage service, allowing users to store files online and access them from any internet-connected device, share them, and collaborate with others.
Word
Word is a word-processing application used to create, edit, and format text documents. Word offers various tools for layout, styling, and collaboration and supports offline and online access.
PowerPoint
PowerPoint is a presentation software that allows users to create slide-based presentations with text, images, animations, videos, and other multimedia elements. It supports offline and online access.
Excel
Excel is a spreadsheet program that can be used to organize, analyze, and visualize data with its powerful tables, charts, and formulas capabilities. It supports offline and online access.
Outlook
Outlook is an e-mail and calendar application that allows users to send e-mail messages, schedule meetings and even organize tasks. While you can access Outlook offline, an internet connection is required to complete any action that requires communication.
Forms
Forms is a survey and quiz tool that allows users to easily create and share forms. Forms can be used to gather feedback, conduct polls, collect data, and includes built-in analysis capabilities. Access to Forms requires an internet connection.

SharePoint
SharePoint is a collaboration and document management platform, allowing teams to store, organize, and share content securely. SharePoint offers customized workspaces, internal websites, and integration with other Microsoft 365 tools. Access to SharePoint workspaces and sites require an internet connection, files stored in SharePoint can be downloaded for offline use.
OneNote
OneNote is a note-taking application that can be used to organize notes, images, audio, and other content in a notebook-style format. It supports offline and online access.
Copilot
Copilot is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o LLM and DALL-E 3 (image generation). In response to prompts, Copilot can generate content like text, images, or tables.

Stream: Enterprise video service to upload, share, and manage video content
