Until our migration from Blackboard is complete for the Fall 2026 term, you may have courses in both Blackboard and Canvas. We are encouraging instructors using Canvas to send an announcement to their students.
Here are two ways to find your courses:
Visit Both Platforms
- If you have courses in Blackboard, they will appear on your Courses page.
- If you have courses in Canvas, they will appear on your Dashboard.
Only students who have enrollments in Canvas courses or organizations will be able to access Canvas. Students with no enrollments in a course in Canvas, or no membership in organizations in Canvas, will receive an error message when trying to access Canvas.
If a course does not appear in either platform, it’s possible your instructor has not published/made the course available yet. Reach out to them, and ask what platform the course will be in. Some, but not all, courses open one week prior to the term start for a preview week.
