Yes, there is a possibility you will have courses in both platforms at the same time starting in Summer 2025. We are encouraging all instructors to send a welcome announcement to students before the start of the semester informing students which platform the course will be in.
If your course is running in Blackboard, you will receive an e-mail that looks like this:
- Click the “View Announcement” button to open Blackboard
- Note the Blackboard logo at the bottom of the e-mail
If your course is running in Canvas, you will receive an e-mail that looks like this:
- Click “View announcement” link to open Canvas.
- Canvas uses SSO similar to Blackboard and doesn’t require separate login information.
- Note the Canvas logo in the e-mail
If you do not receive an e-mail welcome announcement before the first day of class, please e-mail your instructor. You can find your instructors e-mail in Self Service.
Student technical support issues should be resolved by QU IT, either through their expertise or by utilizing the platform’s support resources.
- Submit a QU IT Help Desk ticket.
- E-mail the QU IT Help Desk.
