Our academic video platform evaluation has ended and we have renewed with YuJa.
QILT will work in the upcoming AY to empower faculty with the knowledge to integrate it into their courses and enable new features!
In an era where digital learning platforms have become indispensable, an academic video platform stands at the forefront of facilitating seamless video content creation, management, storage, and distribution across diverse academic disciplines.
Currently, Quinnipiac offers YuJa for faculty, staff, and student use.
What’s happening?
To ensure YuJa still meets the needs of the University community today - and is positioned to do so in the future - we’re collecting faculty needs, preferences, and ideas to evaluate YuJa and other academic video platform offerings in the marketplace.

Who’s working on this?
The evaluation team consists of members of the Office of Learning Design and Technology, Teaching and Classroom Technology, and various faculty members.
Why is this happening?
As we continue to embrace digital transformation, the role of video in enhancing teaching and learning experiences has become undeniable. Consequently, the need for a robust, efficient, and versatile academic video platform is more critical than ever. We’ll be evaluating offerings against a variety of criteria, including:
- Support for Varied Teaching Methodologies
- Accessibility and Student Engagement Features
- Content Management Efficiency (including Zoom Cloud Recording content management)
- Scalability, Integration with University tools like the learning management system, and future-proofing
- Cost-effectiveness and ROI
- Impact on Enhancing Learning Outcomes and Institutional Goals
How can I get involved in this evaluation?
You’re invited to take the survey, aimed at collecting faculty needs, preferences, and ideas to evaluate YuJa and other academic video platform offerings in the marketplace. → (the survey has closed)
Following the survey, we’ll analyze the data and select a variety of respondents to participate in a demonstration/sandbox process of various platforms. Our goal is to select respondents who are very familiar with an academic video platform as well as respondents who have little to no experience with an academic video platform.
