What is Canvas?
Canvas is our new Learning Management System. Starting in the fall of 2026, it will be the home for all courses at Quinnipiac.
Program, department, and school leadership teams have been deciding when it is best for their courses to migrate to Canvas from Blackboard. Our earliest adopters have been using Canvas since Spring 2025.

If you are using Canvas for your Spring 2026 courses, QILT has compiled key information for you on our website. Find guidance on setting up your course of record shells, tips for getting ready for the first day of class, and resources for support from both Canvas and QILT.
Organization Sites
Some organization site leaders have already worked with us to migrate their content from Blackboard or start their organization fresh in Canvas.
If you’re eager to move your organization's site to Canvas today, submit a request to us. Alternatives to using Canvas (such as SharePoint) can be discussed during the migration conversations.

💡 Canvas Tip: Setting Default Due Time in Canvas
DID YOU KNOW? In the settings of your Canvas course, you can change the default due time for assignments, quizzes, and discussions in your course.
