In the settings of your Canvas course, you can change the default due time for assignments, quizzes, and discussions in your course. This is especially useful if your assignments are usually due before class instead of at the default time of 11:59 p.m.
To change: Go to Settings in your Canvas course navigation (1), then scroll down in the “Course Details” tab (2). Click the drop-down box under “Default due time:” (3) and select a new default due time. Be sure to “Update Course Details” (4) when you’re done.
Note that this will not change the due time for existing assignments. The default due time will only apply to assignments created after the change was made.
