What is Coursera?
Coursera is an online learning platform with full-length courses, professional certificates, guided projects, and short-form video content from companies like IBM, Meta, Unilever, Amazon, Salesforce, and more. Quinnipiac’s subscription to the Career Academy Plus offering provides our community with access to a diverse range of courses and certificates across disciplines.
The Grow with Google (GwG) program, hosted through Coursera, provides students, faculty, and staff with access to Google Career courses and certificates. GwG includes training in Artificial Intelligence, data science, computer science, information technology and cybersecurity, user experience design, marketing, project management and more.

Within Courses Faculty can integrate Coursera within their courses in a variety of ways. Within the QU course, faculty can assign students to complete a full certificate program in Coursera or only specific courses of a program. GwG courses and certificates can be assigned to students for completion.
For non GwG content only: Depending on how the QU course is structured, and if it is part of a course series, separating a full certificate program out across QU courses is a good way to meet course objectives and still allow students to earn an additional credential. Faculty can also integrate specific coursera content (like a video or a reading) into their QU courses in Canvas using the LTI tool.
