Screen sharing allows instructors and students to present content, demonstrate processes, and collaborate in real time during a Zoom meeting. Rather than simply displaying slides, screen sharing can support active learning by making course materials interactive and engaging.
Zoom allows users to share an entire screen, a single application window, a portion of the screen, documents, a whiteboard, videos, computer audio, or even a second camera such as a document camera. Instructors can also control whether students are permitted to share their screens.
