• A patient presents to the emergency department with shortness of breath, edema, and fatigue. Based on the concepts from this week's readings, what assessment findings would you prioritize, and what would be your initial plan of care?
• A hospitalized patient develops a fever two days after surgery. Using the infection prevention principles from Chapter 4, identify the most likely causes and recommend evidence-based nursing interventions.
