- Open the course you’d like to add a course banner or course card photo to in Blackboard.
- From the “Details & Actions” section, under “Course Image”, select “Edit display settings”.
- From the sidebar that appears, select the image icon.
- In the “Insert image” window, select “Upload file”.
- Find the image you’d like to use as your course banner or course card photo. Select “Upload”.
- Confirm that the image displayed is the correct image. Select “Next”.
- Scale the image, if needed, and select “Save”.
For Blackboard Ultra, the ideal course banner size is at least 1200 x 240 pixels - designed in 4800 x 960 size - with the main content kept in the center of the banner. More information can be found here.
- The sidebar will now show your selected image. Select “Save” to publish your changes.
- The page will reload and your course banner will appear. The course card image will be visible on the “Courses” page when the gallery view is selected.
