Padlet offers a free version, with the following limitations:
- Typically limited to 3 active Padlets at one time.
- Advanced customization, larger storage, and some AI features require a paid plan.
This tool is popular in higher education and may be useful for teaching and learning. This tool is not licensed or supported by Quinnipiac University or QILT. Faculty are welcome to explore independently and can access documentation, tutorials, and technical support directly from each company's website.
Please note: Free plans often have feature limitations and may change over time. Faculty are responsible for reviewing each platform's terms of service, privacy policies, and accessibility before using them with students. Faculty should consider:
- Whether students are required to create an account
- FERPA and student privacy implications
- Accessibility and ADA compliance
- Whether an equivalent university-supported tool already exists
- Long-term availability of free features
If you're unsure which technology is the best fit for your instructional goals, QILT is happy to consult with you. While we do not provide technical support for faculty-selected tools, we can help you:
- Identify the best technology for your teaching goals
- Recommend university-supported alternatives
- Discuss instructional design strategies
- Evaluate accessibility and student experience considerations
