Respondus LockDown Browser can be useful for preventing students from using unauthorized websites or software on their computers when taking using the browser in Canvas.
If you want students to access their personal OneDrive for notes, such as Word documents or PowerPoint presentations, but don’t want them to access other websites or software, you can enable a feature to allow specific websites through the LockDown Browser.
- In the instructions of the Canvas quiz, add a link to My OneDrive (https://quinnipiacuniversity-my.sharepoint.com/). The instructions area is on the page before the “Build” screen.
- Open LockDown Browser from your Canvas course navigation (left-hand side of the course).
- Under “Advanced Settings,” check the box to “Allow access to specific external web domains”, and paste the following:
- Repeat these steps of all LockDown Browser-enabled quizzes in your Canvas course.
